In fact, FAMA is a place where artists help other artists, without other consideration to be helped in return !

That's how it works :
On FAMA's website, you will find listings of artists who will have a future exhibition and want to share this show with you, without no other consideration you will share your next show with them, in return.
“ But if you have no exhibit scheduled , How can you use FAMA ?”
NO PROBLEM , do not worry ! FAMA will give you all the information you need to help you find a gallery or a venue to hold an exhibition in your area . In addition , FAMA will regularly publish sheet of information to share with you our experience. So you could learn how to create and promote your own successful show, for a minimal budget. And even, how to increase your local exposure and be followed by the local medias ... etc, etc. .
So, you will start to build your reputation as an artist and you can , in addition invite other artists to participate to your exhibitions, and who will do the same for you.
Thanks to FAMA , we get a " SNOWBALL EFFECT " !
An exhibition near you can finally allow you to expose your work all aver the world.
And if you can't afford to travel to another country, nos problem! You can organize a shipping of some of your artworks with the gallery, or the other member.

In addition FAMA offers an online magazine , in which YOU can publish articles about your experiences , your doubts, your rants , your future exhibitions, or anything that is important to you and to the community of artists.
With this magazine you can also enrich your knowledge discovering the experiences of other artists.
In FAMA's website, each member can create a presentation page with his biography and photos of his work. Thus, all other members can find you, discover your work , but also leave comments and review.
FAMA also works to create, with your help, future major international art events , in which all members can participate.
FAMA will even intervene, with your help also, in humanitarian and environmental causes. So the more we will be, the greater our power will be. And at the same time, your exposure will become more and more important.

The principle, is very simple,
(Based on the apartment swapping , but adapted to ART SHOWS). - 1 - VISIT THE ART GALLERIES IN YOUR AREA TO KNOW THEIR CONDITIONS TO ACCEPT A "GUEST ARTIST", and book a date for YOUR NEXT EXHIBITION. - 2 - PUT AN ADD ON F.AM.A. TO FIND ANOTHER ARTIST TO SHARE YOUR EXHIBITION, AND IN EXCHANGE, WILL DO THE SAME FOR YOU, AND LET YOU SHARE HIS ART SHOW IN HIS TOWN. - 3 - SELECT THE ARTIST YOU WANT TO WORK WITH, AND ORGANIZE TOGETHER YOUR SHARING (where to ship your Artworks, how to share the fees of the gallery..etc). By this way, YOUR LOCAL ART SHOW WILL BRING YOU THE OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE ANOTHER ART SHOW IN ANOTHER COUNTRY! YOU DOUBLE YOUR EXPOSURE, WHICH ALSO BECOME INTERNATIONAL ! |
IS IT REALLY FREE ?

F.AM.A. doesn't take any fees or percentage on the sales of your Artworks, during a show you have shared, through our website. And, the help given by other members is free. But, we don't want ADVERTISING or COMMERCIALS in our website, to keep it "clean and independent from any kind of external control" So, if our organization become too important, it's possible that we will HAVE TO ASK FOR SOME MINIMAL REGISTRATION FEES, to our members, only TO COVER THE GROWING OPERATING COSTS. (Domain name, website improvement and maintenance, payment of the people who spend time to improve F.A.M.A....etc) BUT, in the future, if we have to ask for some fees, THESE FEES WILL ALWAYS BE KEPT AT THEIR MINIMUM (NEVER MORE THAN $20 FOR ONE YEAR) to KEEP THE MEMBERSHIP AFFORDABLE to everybody.
